Thank you for taking the time to visit my design portfolio of work. Just above is a small presentation of what I have designed for various clients throughout the years. Ever since I was four years old, I always knew that I wanted to be a designer. Design is a special and unique gift that I have been given and I have learned to embrace and enjoy it. I've designed all sorts of creative pieces. Here are just a few. Billboards, product packaging, book design, game design, illustration, editorial, electronic interface design, websites, logos newsletters, and traditional print media such as business systems, postcards and calendars.
I have over 13 years of design experience, 9 years of business experience from running my own ad design agency, and 5 years of teaching design in secondary education and university level. I've taught courses that focus on graphic design, web design, marketing, curriculum design and branding. Most of my inspiration about design has come from various resources. The Internet offers a plethora of design ideas and portfolio work of other talented designers. Magazine and publications are also a wonderful source of inspiration. Lastly, nature itself is design and designed and provides a tremendous amount of inspiration to spawn new ideas and creative thought.

My Design Style and Start
Over the years I have developed my own unique style of design. I''m a passionate lover of color and typography. These two elements alone can make or break a design piece. Although these two elements by themselves are not the traditional standards for creating great design, they are very important. I try to create balance in my design and love to integrate good photography into my design. I believe design is not effective if it doesn't capture the attention of the audience first. It must turn heads and be the bait that introduces the message. I am a self-taught designer even though I went to college for Graphic Design. The graphic industry and improvement of software moved so quickly in the mid to late 1990's, that the creative process changed overnight for me. I first started designing on a PC (Microsoft Paint) on my parents computer, then learned on the Mac (Quadra) during college. However, when I graduated and started my design agency, I purchased a PC (Gateway computer) because of the cost compared to the Mac. Now days, I'm solely Mac. Been this way since 2000. I'm on the Mac for many reasons but I can still design on both platforms without any problems.Design for Today
Today, I continue to provide creative solutions for my clients. I've services a unique set of industries. These include corporate, government, small business, environment, architecture, education, real estate, advertising, health, entertainment and non-profit to name a few. Most of my design work today is focused in the area of individual personal development and leadership. In other words, helping people of influence create a personal brand image that will increase their marketing potential, personal brand equity and audience influence.Note: If you still need design work un-related to personal branding, still contact me. I believe opportunities are everywhere and I may be available to work with you.
